Lesotho 4x4 Gravel Road Trip

ü  Day 1 – FRIDAY 23 Oct 202: Vanderbijlpark to Underberg

F We will convoy from Vanderbijlpark. We will leave at 08:00. 

F We will take a nice “alternative route” (gravel scenic road) from Mooirivier to Himeville/Underberg.

F Refuel in Underberg/Himeville

F We will arrive at the Old Trout Hatchery in Underberg during the afternoon

F We will overnight here: Dinner Bed & Breakfast are INCLUDED – Total distance: via N3 for the day is 590 km (6.5 hours)

ü   Day 2 – SATURDAY 24 Oct 2026: Sani Pass/Sani Top Pub/Thaba Tseka

F 08: 00 Leaving Old Trout Hatchery after breakfast – Depart to Sani Border Post……PASSPORT!!!!!!!!

F Ascent up the legendary Sani Pass – Enjoy a drink at Sani Top Pub (Highest Pub in Africa) ……own account. GNT will pre-book our visit as per new protocol. (Subject to booking approval)

F Bring snacks for lunch on the road (own account)

F Depart to Thaba Tseka and overnight at The Clan Hotel outside Thaba Tseka. – Dinner Bed & Breakfast are INCLUDED in the price

F Distance:  Underberg to RSA Border Post – 56km RSA Border Post to Sani Top – 8.5 km Sani Top to Thaba Tseka

F 139 km (5 Hours) Total for the day: 220 km (6-7 Hours)

ü  Day 3: SUNDAY 25 Oct 2026 Thaba Tseka to Katse dam & Oxbow Lodge

F 07:30 Breakfast at Lodge  (Included)

F Depart to Katse Dam for Dam Wall tour@ 11:00 (INCUDED)  Total: 60 km (2.5 Hours) – After Dam Wall Tour depart to Lejone , turn on gravel road to Letseng Mine

F Total: 120 km (4 Hours) – From Letseng Mine we drive part AfriSki to Oxbow Lodge.

F Dinner (Included) Total: 45 km (45 Min) Total for the day:  225 km (7 Hours)

ü  Day 4: MONDAY 26 Oct 2026 Oxbow Lodge (Moteng Pass) to Home via Caledonspoort Borderpost

F 08:00 Breakfast at Oxbow Lodge (Included)

F Drive down the notorious Moteng Pass (92 corners in 12 km)

F Exit via Caledonspoort Border Post – Greet each other at crossing to Fouriesburg

F Oxbow to Fouriesburg / Caledons Poort Total: 75 km (1.5 Hours)

F Fouriesburg to Vanderbijlpark   Total: 270km  Total for the Day: 350 km
